Jan is Professor of tourism management at IUBH in Munich. In Germany he obtained his Master (Dipl.-Ing.) in Architecture and his MBA, in Spain his PhD in Tourism. Jan’s research moves between several disciplines and cultures. He worked as researcher and lecturer in different fields at European and Asian universities and as consultant on interdisciplinary and intercultural projects around the world. His main publications deal with tourism interfaces, such as photography and the destination image, the mutual interdependencies of contemporary architecture and urban tourism, realities and virtualities in contemporary tourism etc.
